Dr. E. Nupsius Benjamin-Robinson is a board-certified public health practitioner (National Board of Public Health Examiners), health equity strategist, and skilled strategic convener. He is faculty at Xavier University at Louisiana’s Public Health Sciences Program, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, and has adjunct at Tulane University School of Public Health.
He developed and served as Director of the Louisiana Department of Health’s (LDH) first Health Equity office (officially known as the Office of Community Partnerships & Health Equity). He led, developed, and oversaw health equity and community partnerships efforts that support the implementation of protocols and practices aiding LDH in creating fair and just opportunities for all people to reach their full health potential. Dr. Benjamin-Robinson led the development of LDH’s first agency-wide health equity plan. He also served as an executive committee member of Louisiana’s COVID Health Equity Taskforce and is on the National Committee for Quality Assurance —NCQA, Health Equity Advisory Committee.
Lastly, he is an alumnus of Loyola University in New Orleans, the University of Louisiana at Monroe, completed post-graduate work at the Jackson Heart Study Summer Institute - John Hopkins University & the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and is a Doctor of Health Science graduate of Nova Southeastern University Dr. Kiran C. Patel College of Health Sciences.

Dr. Benjamin-Robinson has worked in social services and public health for over 20 years. He is a sought-after motivational speaker, life coach, and highly skilled facilitator. He is the CEO and lead psychotherapist at BACH Therapeutic Counseling Service, a former Vice-President of the New Orleans Association of Black Social Workers, and is a member of the 100 Black Men of Greater New Orleans.
Lastly, he is an alumnus of Mississippi Valley State University and Belhaven University. He acquired his MSW from Southern University at New Orleans Millie M. Charles School of Social Work. He obtained his Doctorate of Social Work from Tulane University School of Social Work.
